What we do with the information you give us, why we need it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, ask and we’ll explain.

Who we are

This website, www.drivewayscoventry.net, is run by DNA Landscapes (Coventry) Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15642463. Our registered office is 1st Floor, Cashs Business Centre, 228 Widdrington Road, Coventry CV1 4PB.

We trade as DNA Landscapes and, for our driveway and paving work, as DNA Driveways Coventry. Both are the same company. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website, over the phone and in the course of our work.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website form
Your name, phone number, email address and postcode; the size of your drive, any problems with it, the surface you’re interested in and when you’d like the work done; your message; any photos you upload; and whether you ticked the box agreeing to be contacted.
When you phone or message us
Your number and what you tell us about your project.
When we survey and quote
Your address, measurements and photos of your property, and notes about things like levels, drainage and access.
If you go ahead with the work
Details of the job, our quote, invoices and payments.
When you browse the site
Standard technical information such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and roughly where in the country you are. This does not identify you by name. See Cookies and the website.

We don’t buy personal information from anyone, and we don’t collect information about you from social media.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and give you a quote
Because you asked us to. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
To carry out the work you have asked us to do
Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
To keep records of our work, invoices and payments
For tax, accounting and in case of a dispute. Lawful basis: legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in keeping proper records.
To count visits and see which pages are useful
So we can keep the site working well and improve it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a useful website. You can opt out at any time; see Cookies and the website.
To protect our form from spam
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

We don’t add enquirers to a mailing list or send them marketing messages.

Who else sees it

We don’t sell your information to anyone.

Your information is seen by the suppliers who run things on our behalf: our website platform; HighLevel (LeadConnector), which runs our enquiry form and customer messaging; Google, for website analytics; our email provider; and our accountant. They act on our instructions. We will also disclose information if the law requires it, for example to HMRC or a court.

Some of these suppliers, including HighLevel and Google, may process information outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t go ahead
24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
Customers
Six years after the work is finished, the period needed for tax records and any claim.
Website analytics
No more than 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google.

Cookies and the website

Our website uses a small number of cookies. They are set when you visit; this site does not show a cookie banner. None of them identifies you by name, and the site works normally if you block them.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • see what we hold about you; we will respond within one month, free of charge
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • ask us to delete what we hold, where we have no legal reason to keep it
  • object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it
  • have it sent to you, or to someone else, in a portable format

To use any of these rights, email info@dna-landscapes.co.uk, call 0247 542 6111, or write to our registered office. There is no charge and you don’t need to give a reason. If you agreed to something, such as being contacted, you can withdraw that at any time.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first: email info@dna-landscapes.co.uk, call 0247 542 6111, or write to our registered office. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you what we are doing about it.

If you’re still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if what we do with your information changes.
